Havelock Square was redeveloped in collaboration with the local community. The residents wanted to overhaul the existing planting which had become tired over the years, there was a central raised area that the children liked to play and hide in that needed to be retained. This central area was redesigned with a small box maze for the children to run through surrounded by gravel and a new sandstone wall. The planting gives lots of colour throughout the year and incorporates herbs which the residents can pop out use at their leisure.
